Hi Gwen and the LGW team.
I have been putting off writing this as it means the end of our journey with the lovely LGW ladies however I have reviewed everyone else so here goes.
Feb 2013 was the start of our journey and it was a very simple decision to make once the e mails had started flowing even on a Saturday afternoon my e mails to Gwen were answered almost immediately and by Monday the date for May 29th 2014 had been set. My friends couldn’t believe how calm I was as the date got closer – my reply” I have a wedding planner its all under control” and it was really that simple. We requested things then changed things and changed more things but nothing was too much trouble. Once we got to Malcesine and the butterflies began to kick in we met with Jac – calm was definitely restored, she was so professional and calm and by the end of the week I was ridiculously (or so my friends said) laid back. The day before the wedding we had two very very last minute guests who announced they were flying in to Milan on the morning of the wedding – again Jac took all this in her stride and simply added them on to our numbers. The day itself was absolutely magical and we simply could not have asked for a better day, the timings were all spot on, the supplier’s LGW recommended were 2nd to none from the hair dresser & make up artist – Tizi was so lovely when my elder daughter didn’t like her hair ( I though it was the nicest it had ever looked) but because Laura didn’t like it she wanted her to be happy so virtually did it all over again. The boat ride was literally the highlight of the day for us both and all our guests – it was spectacular – if anyone is undecided on this I would definitely recommend it, it was an hour to chill and chat to our guests and drink more prosecco !. The tuk tuk does even more to make you feel like royalty as the driver got everyone who you pass to cheer and clap, my dad doesn’t walk so well so it was arranged that it would go back to the castle to pick him & my mum up – much to my mum’s embarrassment as the driver also got everyone to cheer and clap for them aswell!
La Voglia is by far the best restaurant I have ever dined in, Christian was so attentive, the staff on the day so professional and the attention to detail was (as the Italian’s say constantly ) just PERFECTO ! our guests are still raving about the food in particular the beef and lasagne.
So for now lovely LGW ladies we say cheerio but we will definitely be returning next year and hopefully for many more to come.
Love and thanks
