
You will be required to fill in an application form for Certificate of Freedom to Marry. This will be issued from the department of foreign affairs if you are resident in Ireland, or by the nearest Irish Embassy to you should you be resident in the UK.
Once your application has been processed this will be sent to Italy where we will follow the documentation procedure through.
You must ensure your passports are valid for more than 6 months after date of marriage.

Photocopies of your passport (all pages with writing on).
Original of the certificate of Non Impediment, in order for a translation to be done at the British Consulate.
Original Divorce Decree Absolute, if you are divorced (+ original marriage certificate from previous marriage).
Original Death Certificate, if you are widowed (+ original marriage certificate from previous marriage).
Original Deed poll if either of you have changed your names.
You must be 18 or over to marry in Italy.
Copies of Witnesses passports. Witnesses must be over 18
