When we first got engaged I turned into a right girl, and started imagining getting married in a castle somewhere! This of course seemed so unrealistic, until I stumbled across LGW website!
It wasn’t long until I had had an email back from them stating costs involved and options we had to marry in the castle etc.
Skip ahead a year and we had planned a holiday in malcesine to visit and ensure the castle was the right wedding for both of us. Well Chris couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful it was, let alone me!
We knew we had picked the right wedding for us, and even though the prices are reasonable, we still had to wait 3 years to get married there. This felt like a lifetime but it was such a nice idea to have the Facebook page and all the brides liasing with one another, this definitely keeps you excited!
Annabel showed us around in 2015, and we knew we definitely wanted her as our wedding planner (no offence to the other ladies, she was just right on our wave length… What you get is what you see with her and thats a bit of us) Our wish was granted and Annabel was the godsend we had on the wedding day ensuring everything ran smoothly, and after the wedding all the guests commented on how amazing she was at her job and how lovely she was as a person!
During the planning process; you could email them an essay asking a load of questions, and within half an hour some times, all of your questions were answered and your mind was put at ease.
The ladies also went above and beyond at trying to help arrange my dad’s dialysis trips back and forth to a local hospital. With out their advise I’m not sure it would have felt possible having my 69 year old dad with bad health, walk me down the aisle. These are memories I will cherish forever thanks to them.
During the payment; this was always explained to you in the simplest way so to avoid any confusion
During the wedding day;
Every aspect was so enjoyable, the crazy thing is I felt like a guest during my wedding day, but in a good way! I felt as relaxed as all the other guests did and was always just looking forward to the next part that was to come (boat trip, food etc)
Annabel; your professionalism mixed with your everyday banter is perfect! Don’t change, this is what made me and Chris feel so relaxed. You seriously are so great at what you do, and it shows!
Lgw team; it was always such a pleasure hearing from anyone of you during the planning even though I wasnt your nightmare bride to look after, you always kept your emails so personal like you knew exactly who you were talking to each time! I can imagine this isn’t easy when you are probably dealing with thousands of brides daily!
Francesca makeup artist; being in the beauty trade myself I am such a fussy person but as soon as I sat in her chair I knew I had to trust her skills and put myself in her hands, and I’m so glad I did! She is very talented and friendly even thought her English isn’t 100% (i say ignorantly, as I didn’t bother learning Italian myself!)
Hairdresser; it’s bad that I have forgotten her name, but I will never forget her!
She is spot on at what she does, the girls just know exactly what you want, what would suit you and what they are doing! I had the best morning being pampered by them all!
Tuk tuk; he is a very charming driver and makes you feel like a princess even thought he must see tons of brides daily.
Christian at la voglia; all his staff were really pleasant (bartenders and waiters) as was Christian when we went to the welcome meeting and the same again on the day!
The food is absoloutely delicious, my god everyone was commenting on this.
Champagne toast at the castle; we do not regret going for this one at all even though it was the more expensive option. It was more intimate than down but the lakeside would have been, and a few shaded places with seats also for our older guests. Everyone was shocked at how substantial the food was, as were we! They kept topping your glass of prosecco up too which of course in all our eyes was a winner!
I think it’s probably best I stop there as I’ve already wrote enough to start an autobiography!
I’m so sorry if I’ve missed anything out but it was all perfect, couldn’t have dreamed of a better day!
All our love,
Mr Christopher and Mrs Jordan Ackrill
