This wedding was so much fun in 2018 in Malcesine Castle at the North of Lake Garda.
Chrissie and Frank had hired an apartment in the centre of Malcesine Village. They were within walking distance of the castle so we had some nice photos on the way to the wedding ceremony with Chrissie and her Dad.
The ceremony was a very emotional one and even Frank cried. This photo was taken just as Chrissie arrived at the wedding ceremony.
After the wedding, the couple along with all of their guests went by boat to the Voglia Restaurant for the evening celebrations.
This photo was taken of Chrissie on the way to the castle in the town's little streets
Lake Garda is one of europe's largest lakes and is Italy’s largest lake, and offers something for everyone, such as sailing, surfing, theme Parks, cable cars, boats and ferries, walking and is very popular for cycling and rock climbing. It is a great place to kick back and relax, or do the opposite and have an activity holiday.
Malcesine castle is a very popular venue for weddings from many country all over the world. Many British, Irish, Germans and Americans chose this as the venue of a lifetime. Italian's love it too and there are many Italian weddings here. The views from the castle are breathtaking and make a great backdrop for the wedding pictures. It is possible to have a champagne toast in the castle after the ceremony, or by the lakeside, the choice is yours . Malcesine castle was once used as a prison, as a famous german poet, Goethe was once held prisoner as he was thought to be a spy.
Garda is known to be the birthplace of the violin and also the famous political and literary figure, Gabrielle D'Annunzio.
Garda used to be called Benaco, in-fact there is still a town called Torri del Bench, which means Benacus towers. Riva del Garda, at the north, used to be part of Austria until 1918. Until few years ago you could still see the old customs barriers.
