Congratulations to Matt and Emma, who married in summer 2018 on the terrace of Malcesine Castle. Such a wonderful wedding, and the rain in the evening made it much more fun.
This wonderful couple married on a day with very changeable weather, but it meant we got some great photos with them with the dramatic skies.
Emma and Matt were staying in the hotel Prima Luna in Malcesine, which has some great views over the lake due to it's lake front setting.
After the last minute panic to get everyone ready on-time, the bride travelled by tuk tuk up to the wedding venue to meet with Matt who was waiting for her on the terrace of Malcesine Castle.
The wedding was a civil ceremony held in Italian and then translated back into English by the wedding planner. The violin and piano played during the wedding ceremony and as the bride arrived.
Emma and Matt were such fun for the photos, and the photos really show this. After drinks and nibbles by the lake, the couple and guests headed off on the boat to the reception venue. They couple had chosen to have the evening celebrations in the Voglia Restaurant, about 3km from Malcesine and just a short boat trip with Italian prosecco on board.
After the wedding, which was held in the castle, we had plenty of time for the couple's romantic photos all over the castle grounds. They were great fun and very open to try out the photographer's ideas. A short boat trip took them to the Voglia restaurant for the wedding meal and an evening of fun and dancing.
