Emma and Darren on the steps in Malcesine Castle

Congratulations to Emma & Darren, who married in Malcesine in June 2019. Such a fun and easy couple to work with. Although it rained in the morning, it did improve during the day.

This was such a beautiful wedding for us to have had the pleasure to arrange.

Emma and Darren were staying at the Hotel Casa Barca, which is such a lovely hotel. The couple tied the knot in Malcesine Castle on the Rivellino Terrace.

Once the ceremony was completed, the Emma and Darren had photos around the castle, you can see in this picture that the dark skies made for some excellent photos. This image was taken on the castle steps up to the wedding ceremony terrace.

The newly weds had arranged a champagne toast by the lakeside for the guests, during which the couple nipped off for some pictures with the photographer, such as this photograph which is taken in the Captain's Palace, on the balcony.

After drinks and food by the lake, they went on a fabulous lakeside cruise, arriving at the Voglia restaurant where they had the meal and of course the party. Although it rained during the ceremony, the weather held off for the rest of the day and it was lovely to not be too hot for once, we had just had a heatwave in Europe. Congratulations to this young and happy couple.

Lake Garda is one of Italy’s largest lake and offers something for everyone, such as sailing, surfing, theme Parks, cable cars, boats and ferries, walking and is very popular for cycling and rock climbing. It is a great place to kick back and relax, or do the opposite and have an activity holiday.

Malcesine castle is a very popular venue for weddings from many country all over the world. Many British, Irish, Germans and Americans chose this as the venue of a lifetime. Italian's love it too and there are many Italian weddings here. The views from the castle are breathtaking and make a great backdrop for the wedding pictures. It is possible to have a champagne toast in the castle after the ceremony, or by the lakeside, the choice is yours. Nearby cities are Verona, Venice and Milan, which you can reach by public transport or car during your holiday.

Lake Garda is about an hour away from Verona airport by car, or you can also get here by flying into Milano Bergamo or Milano Malpensa airport.

Garda is known to be the birthplace of the violin so it could be a good instrument to choose for the wedding, which many of our brides have done, along with the piano or a string quartet.

Garda used to be called Benaco, in-fact there is still a town called Torri del Bench, which means Benacus towers. Riva del Garda, at the north, used to be part of Austria until 1918. Until few years ago you could still see the old customs barriers

Congratulations to you both, we wish you a live of love and happiness. We hope you see you again soon. Pop in and say hi when you are over next time.

Thanks for letting us share your day, it was an unforgettable wedding.
