If you are googling through wedding planners, locations and reviews- STOP. You have found the best! This is a fantastic, organised, friendly and passionate team who will not disappoint. From the first email to the wedding day itself, these ladies will take care of everything, leaving people asking you ‘why aren’t you stressed, aren’t you planning a wedding?!’
We started emailing LGW in July, 2018 and got married in April, 2019. The only SLIGHTLY stressful part was the legal paperwork- more specifically getting appointments with the registry office and Italian embassy and trying to fit these in around work (We live in England, Carlo is Italian and Alex is British which made things a bit more complicated). But the wonderful LGW ladies responded to every single worried email with guidance and support. My advice: Follow LGW’s easy to follow instructions, get appointments and paperwork organised nice and early, email LGW again (and again!) just for reassurance and you will be fine!
We didn’t visit Malcesine before the wedding and you have no reason to. It’s a beautiful, small and relaxed town where all your guests can stay within a 5 minute walk of each other and meet for dinner and drinks every day - something we absolutely loved as meant we could spend more time with the wonderful people who had travelled so far to celebrate with us.
The Welcome Meeting (4 days before the wedding):
Annabelle took us out in the pouring rain to the town hall, florist, hair salon and castle and talked us through every aspect of the day. It was such a weird and wonderful couple of hours, seeing everything we had emailed about come to life, even the rain couldn’t dampen our spirits!
The Wedding Day:
We had Annabelle with us from the start of the ceremony until the end of dinner, taking care of not only us but also our 47 guests, who all commented on her friendly and professional manner. She even popped in to check everything was ok in the morning while Alex and the bridesmaids were getting their hair and makeup done. A truly wonderful and talented lady!
We had Gwen photographing the ceremony as part of the ‘castle service’ and we are in love with the photos! Gwen and Sara took us on an engagement shoot 3 days before the wedding and taught us some basic poses to save time on the day- highly recommended for those who aren’t keen on having their photo taken.
It has been described by some as the ‘best wedding they have been to’ and it certainly was the best day of our lives. We have these wonderful ladies to thank for that and will always be grateful for their relaxed, reassuring and friendly attitude- everything you need when planning a wedding abroad. Thank you xxx
