We had the most perfect, magical wedding day and honestly couldn't have wished for a better experience! Deborah, our wedding coordinator, was absolutely amazing. We first met her three years ago while on holiday in Malcesine, and from that point on she became an essential part of making our dream wedding happen. She kept in contact with us throughout the entire three-year journey and no question was ever too much trouble. Her responses were always helpful, positive and upbeat, usually on the same day or within 48 hours. Planning a wedding abroad from the UK can feel daunting, especially when you're organising everything from a distance, but Deborah made the whole process feel manageable and exciting rather than stressful.
Lake Garda Weddings offers so many options, meaning you can keep things simple or add those extra special touches to create the day you really want. We chose the tuk-tuk, string quartet, lakeside toast, boat trip, Restaurant La Voglia, DJ and saxophone — and every part was absolutely brilliant. We had lots of different elements to our day, but everything flowed so naturally and smoothly that we were simply able to relax and enjoy every moment. Deborah stayed with us right up until our first dance, quietly working behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly.
What really stood out to us was how the whole Lake Garda Weddings team seemed like one big family. Deborah, the DJ and saxophonist, restaurant staff and everyone involved all worked so well together, creating such a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Deborah really is a diamond! It's amazing how much difference one person can make to your whole experience, and we will always be so grateful for everything she did for us. Malcesine and Lake Garda are simply beautiful, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lake Garda Weddings to anyone considering getting married there.
One small piece of advice for future couples when planning your food: the amount of food provided with the lakeside toast and drinks was much more than we expected — it was more like having a light lunch, which was absolutely brilliant! Then when we arrived at La Voglia, there were welcome drinks and more nibbles than we had anticipated, which again was lovely and generous. This is definitely something worth knowing in advance when planning the rest of your food for the day, as by the time we'd had the five-course meal, everyone was incredibly full! For this reason, we personally wouldn't recommend adding the optional late-night pizza at La Voglia. The final course also finished later than we had anticipated, which wasn't a problem at all as the spacing between courses was lovely and relaxed, but it did mean that by the time the pizza was due, nobody was particularly hungry.
Thank you Deborah and everyone at Lake Garda Weddings for helping us create the most magical memories.
